Recognizing the importance of social media the world over, and identifying it as a need for the community, SWASA Nepal has been mobilizing CBOs, SWAN, JMMS to use the social media platforms like X.com (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and cloud-based communication platforms like Zoom. . The familiarity with these tools has allowed them to share the challenges that they face.  Additionally, with the help of social media our CBOs have been able to connect with the community across districts.

As a result of the social media mobilization our CBOs have been able to connect with organizations like Apanga Mahila Sangh, Mitini Nepal and Tarangini Foundation. While privacy concerns remain, social media has undoubtedly enabled the community to connect, conduct advocacy and reach targeted audiences in organizations working for women rights and human rights.
